BEFORE YOU REQUEST A QUOTE

Six details that help define the conversation.

  1. Start with the property

For a project in Tampa, Palm Harbor, New Port Richey or a surrounding Tampa Bay community, start with the property location. Explain whether you are planning work in a home you occupy, a vacant home or a residential investment property. Your city or ZIP code is enough for the first inquiry; coverage and availability can then be discussed.

Note: City / ZIP and rooms involved.

  2. Decide what stays and what changes

A kitchen with the same layout is a different conversation from moving the kitchen into another room. List the cabinets, fixtures, surfaces or spaces you hope to keep, and explain what is not working today. If you are unsure about an option, mark it as a question instead of treating it as a decided part of the scope.

Note: Keep / replace / explore.

  3. Choose your priorities

Choose the changes that matter most to daily life or to your plans for the property. More storage, a different room arrangement and updated finishes are different goals. Identify your top three priorities so the first discussion can focus on what a successful result would mean for you.

    Note: My three priorities.

  4. Share a budget starting point

A working budget helps frame the discussion; it is not a quote or a commitment to complete the work for that amount. Mention any selections or purchases you have already made. If you do not have a range, use Not sure yet in the request form and explain which decisions you need help organizing.

Note: Working range / open budget questions.

  5. Explain timing and access

Distinguish a preferred start from a date that cannot move, and explain why a deadline matters. Say whether the home will be occupied and note any access restrictions or community coordination you already know about. A preferred date in the form is a discussion point, not a confirmed construction slot.

Note: Timing / occupancy / access.

  6. Prepare your questions

You do not need a finished design package to begin a conversation. Mention existing plans or photos in the form description; the current form does not accept attachments. Sharing files can be arranged when you connect. Before agreeing to work, clarify the included scope, exclusions, unresolved selections and how changes will be handled.

Note: Documents available / questions to discuss.

AN EXAMPLE TO ADAPT

A useful first message can be simple.

Illustrative example only, not a BCN Builders customer or completed project.

I am planning a kitchen renovation in Tampa. I would like to keep the current room layout, replace the cabinets and improve storage. The home will be occupied. I am still deciding on finishes and a budget range, and I would like to discuss what information is needed next.

Adapt the message to your own property. Include what you know and leave the remaining decisions open for discussion.

YOUR NEXT STEP

Turn your notes into a project request.

Send your location, project description and priorities. BCN Builders will review your request and discuss the scope and next steps with you.

A quote request does not confirm a price, start date or booking. This checklist is a planning aid, not a project proposal.
